Good news! The 2026-27 state budget includes $20 million in new funding to continue the CalFresh Fruit and Vegetable EBT Program!

Since 2023, the CalFresh Fruit & Vegetable EBT program has helped families across California better access fresh fruits and vegetables. Due to its immense popularity, it ran out of funding and shut down on June 30, 2026.

Thankfully, state leaders heard your voice and included funding for CalFresh Fruit & Vegetable EBT Program in the new state budget! While the program restart date is not yet confirmed, this important investment will allow the program to continue helping families put nutritious food on the table.

Contact your legislator to thank them for funding the CalFresh Fruit & Vegetable EBT Program, and ask them to keep funding the program in future years so that it can continue making healthy food more affordable for even more people going forward.

Let's share our thanks!
