Since the onset of the pandemic, federal waivers have provided the flexibility and funding necessary for schools to reach children with much-needed nutritious meals here in California and across our nation.

The health and economic consequences of the pandemic continue to harm kids and families throughout our state. The same effects make it incredibly difficult to operate school nutrition programs.

Tell Congress to keep what works. Ask your representatives to support H.R.6613, Keeping the School Meals Flexible Act/S.3979, The Support Kids Not Red Tape Act. These bills would extend the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s authority to issue child nutrition waivers.
